What does your everyday disc golf routine look like?
If I could play disc golf every day I would. In the winter it’s harder, I work long hours and there isn’t enough daylight at the end of the day. I do my best to get out for at least one round, and ideally two or three over the weekend! In the summer, if I’m not out on the course at least 4 days a week, I’m disappointed. I also have a practice basket, and as soon as I get a yard again, I’m looking forward to spending my lunch break practicing. My home course is Mary’s Farm, where you can see horses, goats, llamas, chicken, and incredible people every time you play!
Tell us about your favorite Kastaplast disc
I love throwing putters, so the Reko is definitely a favorite. As for the rest, I’m going to need a bit of time to decide! This is my first year with Kastaplast, and I have not thrown all of the discs just yet!
What is your best disc golf memory?
You aren’t going to believe this, but one time I got back to back (tonal) aces. I don’t think I’ve ever screamed so loud in my life. This first one was a short throw that just had to fade into the pin, and then the second was a putter tunnel shot that just flipped up perfectly through the trees. It happened on Christmas Eve, with two awesome friends and it just felt pretty magical. Runner up for favorite memories was watching my sister ace a 320′ air shot with an absolutely stunning line.
Name one of your odd talents, or, what you like to do when not throwing plastic
This year, if I’m not disc golfing, you can probably find me out running. I love challenging myself in fitness and this year I’ve taken on a pretty heavy running load. I also love baking, crafting, and playing video games!
